Pablo Picasso 1995 Christmas plate. New in box.
Featuring his 1961 Dove from the poster for the National Peace Congress held in Issy-Les-Moulineaux in May 1962.
Plate measures 10 3/8 inches in diameter and comes in original presentation box. Plate is in new condition - no damage. Box has slight wear.
The Christmas 1995 plate features Picasso's Dove 12/28/61. Taken from the poster for the National Peace Conference held in Issy-Les-Moulineaux in May 1962. The dove is a world recognized symbol for peace and harmony. Picasso used this symbol on many posters he designed to help promote world peace. It is a fitting piece of art for what is the first in a series of Picasso inspired Christmas plates by Masterpiece Editions Ltd.
