Description

Original signed oil painting by Jordi Bonas (Spanish, B. 1937) entitled Marbella, Petit-Port. Oil on canvas. Signed by the artist lower right. Gilt wooden frame.
Measures 19.5 by 23.25 inches. With frame it measures 25.5 by 29.5 inches.

Beautiful seascape scene in rich brown, reds and organes set against a calm background of blues and yellows.
Jordi Bonas was born in Barcelona, Spain in 1937. He studied fine art in Barcelona and also worked on restorations. In 1959 he went to paris to continue his work in art. A year later he was exhibiting in Barcelona, Paris, Munich, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Madrid.
He is an expressionist painter.
His works were also greatly exhibited in North America including New York, Chicago, and the French pavilion in Montreal in 1971.
He illustrated a book of poems, Eight Capital Sins, by Bernard Dimey.
