Uri Lifshitz - The Knights - Signed Etching Uri Lifshitz - The Knights - original etching - signed and numbered (46/50) in pencil.
Image size is 9.5 by 7.5 inches. This is matted but not framed. (Note: the matte is covered with protective plastic which has some dirt on it - but it's not on the matte.) Uri Lifshitz was born in 1936 in Kibbutz Givat Haslosha. His first one-man show was held in Tel Aviv in 1962 at the Ekked Gallery. Since then he has had annual exhibitions in various galleries in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. In 1966 he exhibited at the Constant Munt Gallery in Amsterdam and a year later at the Israel-America house in New York. In 1969 the Israel Museum held a one-man show of his works and in 1970 he participate in the Sao Paulo Biennale. An exhibition of his paintings, drawings and etchings was held at the Tel Aviv Museum in 1974. In 1965 he won the prize for young artists at the Young Israeli Artists show. In 1966 he was awarded the Kolb Prize by the Tel Aviv Museum and a Marc Chagall fellowship from the Erasmus Fund. |
